Our Process
Quality, Archival Preservation. It’s what your memories deserve.
We know just how important your family memories are. This is why we take the utmost care throughout the entire conversion process. After reading, you will know exactly how we handle your precious memories should you decide to convert with us!
This process is repeated for each and every tape you send in!
Upon your order’s arrival to Fahy Media Conversions, we inspect all the tapes for any physical damage.
You will be notified if there are any issues (such as damaged or moldy tapes) before conversion begins. Additional costs may be incurred if you choose to continue with the conversion, as extra steps must be taken to ensure excellent video quality.
Next, we begin the conversion! Issues During The Conversion? Here’s What We Do:
Should any internal tape issues arise during the conversion process (such as a misaligned tape), conversion of that specific tape immediately stops and you are notified via your preferred method of communication regarding next steps. Again, additional costs may be incurred if you choose to continue with the conversion, as extra steps must be taken to ensure excellent video quality.
After the conversion has completed, we then restore the capture for optimal results…

…and Tape Content AFTER Restoration (it’s much smoother)!
When we have finished converting and restoring your tapes…
…you will be notified from us that the conversion has been completed. You will then receive an email from STRIPE INC. (a secure payment portal) with the total amount due for the conversions. The price will reflect the conversion package(s) you have chosen.
Once the payment is received…
…we carefully package your originals and we include any additional items included in your chosen conversion package(s). A photo of our secure packing and the tracking information will be sent to your email. The conversions will be sent fully insured. The option to pick up your tapes/conversions in person is also available by appointment only.
Two weeks after you receive your conversion…
…we will reach out with a quick survey to see how you are enjoying your conversions and if you have any constructive feedback for us!
NEVER throw away your originals – keep them safe as backup copies of your precious memories!
